A Bright Spot in the War on Cancer
Mills-Peninsula's new, state-of-the-art linear accelerator called the Varian TrueBeam™ STx delivers beams of radiation that destroy cancer cells while significantly limiting radiation exposure to normal healthy tissue.

What is Radiosurgery?
Radiosurgery is a noninvasive treatment that can remove tumors and cancers without a surgeon having to cut into the body. Mills-Peninsula doctors use an advanced technology called the Varian TrueBeam™ STx radiosurgery system to deliver a precise dose of radiation to the tumor. The radiation surgery destroys a targeted area while significantly limiting radiation exposure to surrounding normal tissue.
