    Your community hospital in 2010

    Fundraising campaign begins
The new Mills-Peninsula Medical Center – a seven-level, 450,000 square-foot, state-of-the-art hospital – will open its doors next year, providing the same high quality care that’s already put Mills-Peninsula in the top 5 percent of hospitals in the country.

Located at the corner of El Camino Real and Trousdale Drive in Burlingame, the new hospital will be earthquake safe and wired with the latest technology including electronic patient records.

Its clean, modern architectural design, extensive landscaping, public art, walking paths and fountains will make the new medical center an especially attractive healing environment.

This summer marks the kick-off of the Mills-Peninsula Hospital Foundation’s community fundraising campaign for the new hospital. The Foundation has taken on the challenge of raising $75 million in philanthropic gift support to help fund the cost of constructing and equipping the new facility.

“Our donors and local business and community leaders are stepping forward to pledge their support to help us take medical care to the next level in our community with this outstanding new hospital,” says John Loder, president of the Hospital Foundation.
