Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction
Mindfulness meditation is a means to quiet and calm the mind by paying close attention to moment-to-moment experiences in a nonjudgmental way.
Once learned, participants can begin to feel joy and energy – natural expressions of life. Through this training, the effects of stress, pain, anxiety and illness may be minimized.

Watsu Pool Therapy
Watsu is a form of bodywork similar to Tai Chi that combines gentle massage and movement therapy while taking advantage of the healing properties of body temperature water. It works with body and mind to create a state of balance and peace. Watsu works first at calming the mind, then relaxing the body, and finally allowing the body to become one with the water.

Health Information Research Packets
A personalized Health Research Packet is an in-depth, comprehensive compilation of the most up-to-date and credible medical and health literature published on a specific condition.
The packet provides a comprehensive view of all aspects involved in treating a health condition.
We begin preparing each packet with a detailed, confidential informational interview with the person requesting information. Knowing the specifics of a person's medical condition or health concern helps us search for the most pertinent literature. The 10-20 minute informational interviews can be completed over the phone or in person.

Therapeutic Massage
Studies show therapeutic massage has a healing benefit that enhances circulation and movement of lymph fluid, lowers blood pressure, improves breathing, increases joint flexibility, reduces muscle spasms, swelling and excessive scar tissue and helps relieve tension-related headaches and eye strain. Massage also increases release of endorphins, the body’s natural painkilling hormones. Individual sessions are offered for pain management, relaxation and muscle tension relief.

Research supports the benefits of guided imagery in a number of applications. It has been validated, for example, that patients who use the technique in preparation for surgery have faster wound healing and need less pain medication.
Other applications include: relaxation; minimizing side effects
of medications or procedures; dealing with chronic illness; preparing for childbirth; post-surgical healing; and enhancing coping skills.
