Our mission is to offer the best in integrative medicine through care, education and research. We do this by integrating self-care with expert and combining the best of conventional medicine with proven healing practices from around the world. We are a sustainable, not-for-profit group that supports healing and healthier ways of living for both indivduals and communities.
The Art of a Healing Environment
At Mills-Peninsula, healing isn’t exclusively about excellent medical techniques and technology. It’s also about compassionate care, emotions, spirit and quality of life.
There are many connections between nature and medicine – not just in the pharmacy, but also in the way that nature heals itself through adaptation, regeneration and seasonal cycles.
That’s why Mills Health Center is filled with art – beautiful original images and sculpture to evoke nature and calm the spirit. Even the gardens of the Dorothy E. Schneider Cancer Center bloom with healing plants such as aloe vera and ginkgo biloba.
Our goal in creating this environment has been to provide diversion from the realities of fighting illness, to inspire reflection and hope.
