"How often should I visit my doctor?" It's a question asked often by healthy adults. The Health Maintenance Guidelines have been prepared by Mills-Peninsula to help you understand the need to schedule preventive medical care.

These are general guidelines, incorporating current research and the recommendations of the U.S. Preventive Task Force; your physician or your health plan may have different recommendations and guidelines.

People at risk, because of personal health problems or family histories of health-threatening disease, should consult their personal physicians for an individualized health maintenance schedule.

Our guidelines will be updated as advances in medical knowledge change preventive health care recommendations.

Please select one of the links on the left for the age appropriate recommendations for preventive care and also for additional resources.
