12th Annual Mills-Peninsula Women’s Health Luncheon and Lecture

We celebrated the 12th Annual Mills-Peninsula Women’s Health Luncheon and Lecture on Monday, April 29, 2013.

As in years past, the luncheon benefited the Mills-Peninsula’s Women’s Center along with the Breast Health Program.

Anna Quindlen was our featured guest speaker. .

Bestselling author, journalist, and social critic Anna Quindlen writes astute commentaries about everything—looking back and ahead—and celebrating it all. Her most recent book, a memoir, Lots of Candles, Plenty of Cake, considers marriage, mothers, faith, loss, friendships, and turning 60. Quindlen uses the events of her own life to illuminate our own. Along with the downsides of age, and the emotional aspects of life and loss, she says, can come wisdom. Whether 60 is the new 40, or middle-age is midlife, Quindlen offers a perspective that makes any stage of life seem satisfying and even joyful.
