Diabetes & Nutrition Services

Fitness Programs

Individualized aerobic exercise program to improve blood glucose control and cardiovascular condition. Exercise classes are taught by a registered nurse who also is a certified diabetes educator. A doctor referral is required, and a fee applies.

Diabetes and Pregnancy

Sweet Success is a program especially for women who either:

Have diabetes and are planning a pregnancy or are pregnant; or
Develop gestational diabetes during pregnancy.

This program helps women control blood glucose levels to increase likelihood of a healthy pregnancy and normal delivery. Call 650-696-5469 for more information.

Dorothy L. & James E. Frank Diabetes Research Institute

The Research Institute is currently seeking volunteers who wish to have access to various investigational drugs and devices before they are available to the general public.
