Most head and neck cancers start in the squamous cells that line the mouth, throat and nose. They account for about 3 percent of all cancers in the U.S., and they are twice as common in men as they are in women.

Medical oncology, including chemotherapy that directly kills cancer cells and targeted therapy that interferes with cancer cells’ ability to grow and spread.
Oncology rehabilitation, including speech therapy and physical therapy, with a focus on recovering function and improving your quality of life.
Radiation oncology, often in conjunction with chemotherapy, to use highly focused x-rays to kill cancer cells. The latest techniques allow allow board-certified otolaryngologists to remove the tumor and preserve healthy structures in your head, neck and throat.
Symptom management, guided by our advanced practice nurse navigators to help you manage and reduce side effects from treatment and ease the symptoms of cancer.
Nutrition services, which help reduce symptoms such as nausea, dehydration, diarrhea or constipation. We also work with you to boost your appetite and energy.
Support and counseling, including emotional counseling and referral to support groups for you and your family.
As a team, we work with you and your family to make sure you have the best possible outcome. We’re with you from diagnosis and treatment to survivorship.
