As a community hospital-based program, our clinical team is uniquely qualified to provide treatment for patients who have a medical condition in addition to mental illness. Our multidisciplinary team includes psychiatrists, registered nurses and licensed vocational nurses, licensed clinical social workers, licensed psychiatric technicians, mental health workers, occupational therapists and marriage and family counselors.
Dual diagnosis treatment is available for patients who have substance abuse problems and psychiatric conditions.
The adult inpatient program is offered in an 18-bed, secured nursing unit with common dining and day activity rooms. Because socialization is an important part of treatment, most rooms accomodate two patients. Adolescents are treated in a separate, 10-bed secured unit. It is the only secured inpatient program for adolescents in San Mateo County.
Patients participate in a comprehensive treatment program tailored to their specific needs. Our treatment goal is to help each person advance to the least intensive level of care and greater independence.
