We offer a full range of inpatient and outpatient programs:
This program is tailored to adults who suffer from alcohol or drug abuse and need intensive medical management of detoxification.
As a patient, you stay in our confidential hospital unit. We use the most current medications designed to support detoxification, alleviate symptoms and maintain sobriety.
Doses are gradually reduced over several days. Substance abuse services are provided by a multidisciplinary team, which includes doctors who specialize in addiction medicine, nurses, and family and chemical dependency therapists.
Detoxification is followed by rehabilitation treatment, which may include brief inpatient stabilization, a referral for residential day substance abuse treatment or participation in our intensive outpatient program.
Inpatient rehabilitation is designed to help people who have advanced substance abuse disease, and who are not yet able to cope with the challenges of daily living and work.
Patients generally participate for two to seven days following detoxification, if medically necessary. They attend 45 hours of structured activity a week, then progress to a residential treatment referral or continue on to intensive outpatient treatment.
Intensive outpatient services are tailored for people who believe they can begin recovery while continuing to work and go about their daily lives. The 12-week substance abuse treatment program is designed to help you build recovery skills so you can meet the day-to-day challenges to sobriety.
Comprehensive substance abuse services are offered for patients and family members at noon and during evenings for their convenience.
Following successful treatment at this level, patients have the opportunity to enter our one-year recovery program, which includes a weekly aftercare group at no charge for both patient and family members.
Painkillers are among the most commonly prescribed drugs in the U.S., and people may become addicted to them inadvertently.
Mills-Peninsula offers two programs to help people with drug abuse associated with pain medication problems: an outpatient detox and treatment program and an inpatient stabilization program for people who need full-time care.
We accept referrals from primary care providers as well as concerned family members. You can get help the same day you call.
Relapses are not a sign of failure. It may take time and a lot of support to fully develop the skills to live with sobriety. Mills-Peninsula offers a six-week relapse restabilization program is designed to help people who relapse after having at least six months of sobriety.
The program includes participation in the Intensive Outpatient Program (noon or evening) three days a week.
The substance abuse treatment focuses on learning from your relapse, re-establishing sobriety and rebuilding support for your recovery. After successfully completing the Relapse Restabilization Program, you can participate in another six months of ongoing recovery group sessions at no charge.
