Ernesto Zatarain, M.D., medical director

Ernesto Zatarain, M.D. graduated from Universidad Autonoma De Chihuahua in Mexico and completed his internship at General Hospital, Instituto Mexicano del Seguro Social. Dr. Zatarain was a resident at Stanford University with fellowships in Immunology/Rheumatology. He joined Mills-Peninsula in 2006. He has special interests in autoimmune diseases, osteoporosis and osteoarthritis.

Jennifer Trizuto, M.P.T., program coordinator

Jennifer has Bachelors and Masters degrees in physical therapy from Fresno State University. She has worked for Mills-Peninsula for 15 years and has worked in the Arthritis and Osteoporosis Center for 14 of those years. She treats patients in physical therapy and coordinates the Arthritis and Osteoporosis Center’s programs. Jennifer is also a contributor to Arthritis Self Management Magazine.

Janet Steiner, Debra Ballard & Regina Hamilton, bone density technicians

Janet Steiner, RT, CDT
Janet is a certified radiologic technologist with a certification in bone densitometry and has been performing bone density exams since 2000. Over her 30 years at Mills-Peninsula, she has been an instructor at the School of Diagnostic Imaging.

Debra Ballard RT, CDT
Debra is a certified radiologic technologist with a certification in bone densitometry. Debra has been performing bone density examinations since 1999. She is a graduate of Mills-Peninsula’s School of Diagnostic Imaging.

Regina Hamilton
Regina is a certified radiology technician with a certification in bone densitometry and has been performing bone density exams since 2006. She has been working at Mills-Peninsula for forty years.

Denelle Condon, OTR/L, occupational therapy

Denelle graduated from San Jose State University in 1977 in Occupational Therapy. She began teaching the arthritis self help classes for the Arthritis Foundation in 1999 and joined the team in 2004.

Wendy Anderson, medical assistant

Wendy has worked as a receptionist for an endocrinologist, then as a medical assistant for many years. She also worked for a family practice doctor for four and half years until 2008 when she joined the team at Mills-Peninsula.

Sharon Alameda & Dorothy Dekker, administrative

Sharon Alameda, administrative secretary
Sharon has worked at Mills-Peninsula for 22 years.

Dorothy Dekker, Scheduler/Receptionist
Dorothy manages the calendars and intake of patients for Dr. Aftonomos, Dr. Rodriguez, Dr. Nguyen and Dr. Zatarain. She joined the team in 2008.
